Hop into your Delorean – We’re about to take a trip back in time to the 80’s!
Last Saturday I set up a Studio Booth at an 80’s themed birthday party at Flowerland in Caldwell, NJ. (The venue was BEAUTIFUL! Flower Shop by Day, Party Venue by Night! This would be a great venue for a bridal shower or baby shower!)
This 80’s party was amazing! There were over 50 guests, each of their costumes better than the next. At a usual 80’s themes party you see everyone dressing as if they’re from the 80’s, but at this particular party many people dressed as 1980’s characters such as Richard Simmons, Hulk Hogan, Larry Bird, Bill Murray from Caddy Shack, etc. It was fantastic!
…It was SO good that Martha Quinn (MTV VJ) & Mark Summers (Double Dare Host) even commented on the party & costumes on Twitter!
I don’t usually make a blog post about my Studio Booth’s, but in this particular case I HAD TO! Enjoy looking at these fantastic 80’s costumes (and maybe get some ideas for your next 80’s party)!

Double Dare first aired in 1986 and was a staple of my childhood. I was super-excited to see these costumes! They were ready for the physical challenge all night!!

The backdrop was handmade by me out of spray painted cassette tapes I found at the thrift store down the street. They had to be prime red first to get the spray paint to stick. You can see a behind-the-scenes of that on my instagram feed.
