As the years go by (11 years in business to be exact!) I have noticed that “Extended Family Portraits” are my specialty. It’s no surprise to me that this is true…. so often I am writing on social media about the power of the family portrait, the importance of getting the whole family together for portraits, and how photography makes the best gift for Mothers Day and Christmas! …And my people have found me through my writing.
Year after year the gift of photography is given and I’m there with my camera when the whole family gets together. Often times the gathering will be at a family members home. Charcuterie Boards are made. Drinks may or may not be had. A whole day and celebration is made of the photo shoot and it warms my heart.

This family session was so special! Francesca brought together her family with her two brothers, their parents, and the family dogs at her parents house in Sparta, NJ. They had a beautiful wooded front and back yard and we picked a gorgeous summer day for their session. Like I mentioned before… photography makes a great gift and this was a Christmas present for mom. She obviously loved her gift and the whole day was an enjoyable experience!
The family wore a beautiful mix of blues, blacks, and neutrals which popped with the green summer leaves, and matched perfectly with the lake when we headed to the boardwalk on Lake Mohawk just before sunset. This color palette will look beautiful hung on the walls of their lake house.
