Sweet Sixteens are always so much fun to photograph because I love working with teenagers and being part of such a celebratory and happy day. This Sweet 16 was held at the Royce Brook Gold Club and was decorated in white and blue snowflakes and sparkles – a winter wonderland for sure! {especially the day after our first snow in NJ!} Gillian’s dress was straight out of a fairytale ~ pale blue and sparkly with lots of toulle!
I came to photograph formal portraits of Gillian and her court and with her family and left after the grand entrance. I heard the rest of the evening was absolutely magical, and am so happy that her birthday party was everything she’d hoped it would be.
Isn’t she stunning?? I can’t get over how gorgeous this dress was!
These ladies were so much fun – full of laughter and love for their best friend on her birthday. Every girl needs a best friend like these!
Through fits of laughter we took portraits of all the girls popping out from under her dress…. I’ll share this one, but you have to trust me that they’re hysterical and awesome!

As guests arrived, everyone was full of smiles and so excited to see the birthday girl!
Gillian did her grand entrance with her boyfriend, after her court had entered, and then we took a large group portrait before really kicking off the party!
What a great group of friends! I’m so glad I was able to be there for a little while to capture some of the fun! Happy Birthday, Gillian! Treasure these moments forever. <3
