Sun-drenched & Sweet are the best words to describe this beautiful Maternity Session I did with the Cyrwus Family early in the summer. It was full of hugs & gentle kisses, excitement for an addition to their family, and lots of love. The sun was full & bright, shedding warmth into our session. It made for a great end to the shoot with it’s beautiful glares shimmering through a weeping willow tree for my last few shots.
I loved being able to incorporate the whole family into this session, while focusing on the pregnancy & the excitement that lay before them. This soon-to-be BIG sister was just so adorable. I had to pull out all my tricks to gently pose her while playing, and it was definitely successful. Look at her grabbing mommy’s baby bump! <3 So cute!!
I love, love, love the way the sun flows through this gown. So warm & Beautiful!
Throughout the session, this family posed & played – We took a healthy mix of formal & candid photographs. Ringwood Botanical Gardens is the perfect venue for a shoot like this with its various gardens, fields, fountains & flowers. There is such a great variety of backgrounds to pose in front of, and places to play. My favorite is the lily pond, pictures below. I love the reflections it makes!
I loved the shot of the whole family, above, so much that I made it into a pendant for mom. <3

We ended our maternity/family session under a giant weeping willow tree, with the sun pouring down on us through it’s hanging branches…
