I was so thrilled to photograph this newborn a few weeks ago; he’s the adorable son of friends of mine from school! And the little brother of this guy who I photographed a couple years ago. It’s always a pleasure getting together with this amazing family and especially being able to document their milestones as they grow their family.
We planned out this newborn session a few months in advance, and wanted to recreate a few photos that we took at his brothers newborn session, such as a Rutgers themed photo, a black and white hands-holding-the-baby photo, and one where he’s snuggling his favorite stuffed animal. Luckily he fell deeply asleep and was so cooperative during his newborn photo session that we were able to recreate all of the photos and make some unique portraits as well.
I set up the “studio” in their living room, as I always travel to my clients homes for these types of sessions. Which is awesome because we can then use the nursery for family photos. His nursery was so cool – painted by his grandmother with a geometric accent wall of turquoise, tan, black and white, which ended up being the colors we pulled into his portrait session for a cohesive look when they’re hanging on the wall.
I’m so excited to share these session highlights with you:
Here’s the photo with the Rutgers jersey! His family is huge into Rutgers football, as I’m sure he soon will be too!
This last photo features a hat made by another one of our friends and coworkers – it was soooo cute!
I’m so happy for you four & your new little family! I wish you all the best always! xo
Thanks so much for reading and taking a peek at this newborn session!
