I get together with this wonderful family every couple of years to take fun, candid photographs of them. This year we met at Verona Park on a warm and busy day. We utilized a variety of natural locations while walking around together at the park and of course ended up with some really beautiful photographs. Kali and Sheila both have gorgeous red hair, which I always tell them I’m so jealous of.
In addition, I believe the love and bond that these two share is one of a kind, and definitely something to be admirable of! These candid moments make my heart happy.
Kali is a nature lover, an inquisitive mind; a philosopher. She’s a collector, a sports fan, a trivial pursuit master, and the smartest ten year old I know. She reads the NY Times every day, enjoying current events and history. She’s also beautiful and full of life.
Many of these qualities come from her mother.
I’m so glad to have had the opportunity to photograph this family multiple times, and to be able to capture memories and candid moments for them throughout their lives.
