It was so great to catch up with this family in 2020 and take some new family portraits. We got to celebrate the addition of a new family member too: Sir Simon the Aussie. <3
Knowing that this family is as adventurous and outdoorsy as I am, I suggested we meet at Round Valley Reservoir where we can take advantage of woods, mountains, and water. It had been years and years since the last time we got together at this park and was time for a redo. I was right – they loved it… the boys got grass stains almost immediately from playing and it just made the overall look of their session that much more perfect! Jenn definitely embraces all of the “imperfect” perfection in life and I love her so much for that. Watching this family grow and change has been so much fun over the years. I’ve been a part of their birthday milestones, newborn sessions, family shoots, and even their butterfly releases! The kids keep getting smarter, funnier, and sweeter.
At this session we spent a lot of time playing, which made for really nice candid photographs of the family together and interacting. A highlight was the boys learning how to skip rocks in the reservoir!
