Working with families multiple times over the years is what gives me such passion for this profession. It’s an absolute joy to watch kids grow up in front of my lens. I love when they remember me, and we connect on a deeper level with each session. I find value in what I’m doing because they find value in family portraiture. I mean, I’ve always known the power of a photograph, but feeling it through the extension of someone else makes it all the more valid. Having repeat clients also keeps me motivated and challenges me to be more creative with each and every passing year so I can provide them with portraits that are different than the last.
With that, I’m so thankful for the many repeat clients I have, like these one’s I’m highlighting today. Thank you for your continued support and trust, and for always having fun with me.
I’m sharing a maternity session in this blog post for this families fourth child. And oh how loved they’ll be with big brothers and sisters like these. Their maternity session took place at home, my favorite location for family portraits. We used their back yard for all of the portraits, where they have tall pine trees and a hill full of goldenrod (my favorite late-summer wildflower). The setting sun peeked through the trees perfectly, and everyone was happy to participate in these loving poses to capture their excitement for their coming sister.
I loved their outfit choices – a mix of navy blue, white, and golden yellow, with floral accents. The printed products from this session will match their home perfectly with a color palette like this.
Please enjoy these highlights from their maternity session, and celebrate their fourth baby and growing family with me.
