I had the pleasure of photographing Katie’s Sweet 16 Party at the Smokerise Village Inn last fall, full of family & friends, dancing, laughing, and one amazing candy bar!
Katie had a court of her very best friends, and I started the evening photographing them on the venue grounds. These girls were super sweet, were so excited for Katie, and reminded me of all the great girl friends I had in high school. Katie wore a beautiful coral dress, and all of her court were in white. They looked great together!
Afterwards, I photographed the room & the decor. It was decorated in black & white, with red accents to match Katie. There were roses on every table. It was beautifully, simply, done. {{And check out that candy bar!!}}
Before the party started, we made sure to get some really nice formal photographs of Katie and her family members.
To start the party off right, Katie and her court practiced a routine for her grand entrance. It was really well done! Everyone cheered them on to kick the party off right!
And from that moment on the celebration was filled with chatter, laughter, dancing, and good times! The Smokerise Inn staff was amazing and put on an excellent night for this celebration!
Halfway through the evening Katies father gave a beautiful speech in front of all of her guests, followed by her girlfriends giving one. Then Katie blew out her birthday candles, and was immediately swamped by her friends for a huge group hug. <3
The night ended late in the evening the only way any good New Jersey party ends….. with some Bon Jovi. These guys went wild!!
Katie also had my Studio Booth at her party to keep guests entertained.
I made a backdrop out of streamers to match her party theme/decor, and her guests had a blast going in and out of the booth all night trying out different props with different friends. Here are some of my favorites:
