I’m so excited to share a highlight reel of this Fall Family Portrait Session with you!! Believe it or not… It’s August now and definitely time to start planning those family sessions during peak leaf weeks so you can create a perfect Christmas card with that WOW factor! I’m hoping this session will give you some inspiration. It turned out beautiful with all of the different backgrounds we were able to use at the park!
This portrait session also doubled as a 6 month milestone session for baby Stassi and we had so much fun playing outside with her on this warm fall day last year. We planned to meet at Washington Crossing Park, which I knew was bursting with fall leaf colors at that time. This is one of my favorite local places for portrait sessions because it’s flat and there is room to walk around and find different backdrops – old houses, fields, trees. And I love that it’s all natural and not a manicured landscape. I feel that woodsy natural vibe goes perfect with fall sessions like this one. This family brought two outfit changes (and of course lots of bows!). You’ll see that in one of them, mom and Stassi are matching, which I absolutely love – Those photos are SO CUTE! And then they also had a more neutral, single toned color palette for additional photographs so that the fall leaves would pop in the background, like in the first image above.
The wagon was a perfect addition for this session too and I am so glad they brought it!
This classic portrait pose is always a winner!
Thank you for reading & checking out this highlight reel!
